Our Story

The Name:

Every Saturday since 2015, the family has been going out to try a new restaurant. This was the day everyone had off of work and could all join in to try some new food! This led to Facebook posts of how greedy we were and showed off how much we ate. A.J. tagged every post Saturday Faturday (FATURDAYYYY) #saturdayfaturday with tons of pictures of the foods eaten throughout multiple local Facebook groups! Randomly just writing that because we were definitely not getting skinnier eating so much on Saturdays! Saturday FATurday was born!

The Idea:

Damian and Shawn decided we should film these local restaurants to help promote them and show the people what the food/atmosphere feels like. We were eating there anyway. At the same time you can also see their most famous menu items and the space these restaurants have to offer. We also order A LOT! So you'll see a bunch of dishes, we always ask for the restaurants top 10 items to try!

The True Reality:

Our family owns Jamaica Kitchen in Miami, FL. A.J. used to run the restaurant for years before moving to Arizona. Understanding the hard work it takes and the sacrifice you have to give in order to run a successful small restaurant. We truly just want to support the small businesses in AZ, our new community. The goal is to experience great new foods and at the same time promote the businesses to the world so that everyone can visit and support these restaurants. Ever since Covid-19, many restaurants closed down and owners have been struggling. We are doing our part, to help.. so join us in helping mom and pops shops thrive!
